15k Tough Mudder In Memory Of Uncle Dave

Hi all,

We are running the tough mudder obstacle race 15k in the loving memory of Uncle Dave who had Ataxia SCA17 that took him away far to early from this world. Because of the rare and excessive strain that he had his degeneration was so rapid compared to most, and sadly passed away in 2018 at the age of 49.

Through out uncle Dave's journey with Ataxia from walking, to crawling to being bed bound he would always say, whilst he could 'I'm fine'. This has totally inspired me to look at life and be grateful for what I have and what I can do.

Uncle David hoped that one day there would be a preventative medication that would mean others would not have to suffer as he did. Every donation big or small will be going to Ataxia UK who are striving to find a cure and to help people with Ataxia.

So my 2 cousins Jamie, Kieran and myself will be running, climbing and crawling this race inspired by uncle Dave on the 23/09/23
