Story
Hi there!
We're making a difference by fundraising for a cause that's close to our hearts. Please support our efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
Despite being around since 1928, Age Concern Liverpool & Sefton has been through a lot of change over recent years - austerity has hit hard, coupled with the Covid pandemic which has had an adverse impact on the lives of many vulnerable, older people in our community.
In England more than 2 million people over 75 live alone, and more than a million older people say they go for over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member (Age UK).
With hundreds of thousands of elderly people lonely and cut off from society in this country – now, more than ever, our older generations need our support!
Through lockdown, we all experienced this and have a better understanding of the negative impacts on our mental health and wellbeing.
We decided to fundraise as a team to help bring in money to sustain the vital services to help combat isolation and loneliness amongst the most vulnerable in Liverpool and Sefton.
